I am a self employed blue collar guy from a small town in Georgia. I created TheLandEditor as a persona to support and exemplify the hardworking blue collar guys and gals that are the backbone of this country. If the last few years have brought anything to light it is that the new dying breed are those Americans who still get up each and every day and pour their blood sweat and tears into their craft for the sake and support of their families.
When I was 4 years old I climbed up onto my Grandaddy Jack's Recliner and Said Grandaddy..... me and you are gonna be business partners from now on. Im gonna call you Jack and you are gonna call me Bub. We will work together and split everything 50/50.......
My Grandfather was born in 1929 off Highway 50 just outside LaFayette, Alabama. Him and my grandmother moved to East Point, GA in 1950 to find work and prosperity. He worked 3 jobs saving every penny he possibly could. He started his own business when he bought a Ford 8n Tractor and started plowing gardens and scraping driveways. Eventually he grew that into a grading and hauling business working for himself.
My grandaddy was the epitome of a hard working blue collar man that proves the American dream is possible for anybody who is willing to roll up their sleeves and work hard. He is the reason why I love working outside on the land and why I have always wanted to be a self employed, hard working, blue collar man just like him.
Men like him, and all of you blue collar men and women out there, are a dying breed. Hard work and sacrifice are often overlooked these days but not to TheLandEditor. I am here to let every hard working American know that you are not alone, you are not unappreciated, and no matter what you are the backbone of this Country.
Keep up the good work.
My Grandaddy Jack
